After taking some space from my newsletter over the past month, I'm arriving back in your inbox with a poem that I wrote a few weeks ago. It feels quite present for me right now.
There is a price to pay for "checking out of every rat race" but I am willing to pay that price as long as I don't feel I am playing "Simon Says" game.
There has to be another way to do this, and enough of us get out of the silly game the way will show up.
Thank you so much for reading/listening, I'm glad you loved it 😊 what have you found the 'price' has been for you? And what is the 'another way' that you're exploring? I deeply see and know your frustration, it's a path I think many of us find difficult to navigate!
The price is not to be seen. In today's world, not being seen means the inability to make a living. What's the point of escaping the 9-to-5 rat race if we just end up in the social media rat race?
Long story short, all my websites were hacked, and I've lost a lot of information. So, I decided to try something new and swapped my WordPress websites for a platform that will soon have organic traffic. Let's see how this one will work out.
Other than that, I am just being patient and watching the old falling away. At some point the new will have to emerge.
The world as we knew it no longer exists anyway. And to be honest, I believe the future lies in living in communities aligned with nature and exchanging our gifts with each other. But I might be ahead of my time.
Whether you're ahead of your time or not, you've found a new way that works for you and that's what's important, I also love your vision for communities living aligned with nature and exchanging our gifts.
I loved your perspective on "not being seen means the inability to make a living" - it made me think about how we can often misinterpret a desire not to be seen, for a fear of being seen. What do you think about this?
Ah thank you Melissa. It really is, particularly for those of us who want to live life at a different pace. If we're engaged with it, it can feel like we're so far behind. It definitely takes a lot of practice and courage to choose a different way. x
I LOOOOVE THIS. Such a beautiful way to touch this important topic
Thanks so much for reading Clau! I'm glad you saw and felt my intentions. Have a lovely week! x
Love this !
Thank you so much for reading Jenni 😊
I love this so, so much!

Beautiful poem, Emma. I so relate to checking out of every rat race. It’s an exhausting thing to be a part of. 🧡
